Individual & Family trusts

What Exactly is a Trust? Do I really need it?

This legal instrument is the cornerstone of most of the estate plans we design for our clients. In the Trust, you place your estate assets for easier management should you become incapacitated and after you pass. A revocable trust allows you full control over all or your assets while you are living, with flexibility for your loved ones to manage the estate for your wellbeing if you should become incapacitated. It also provides for an orderly distribution or management of your estate after you die for the benefit of those you designate. With this document, probate can be avoided, saving your estate thousands of dollars after you pass, and saving your loved ones from additional stress and anxiety during a difficult time.  Our firm occasionally also drafts irrevocable trusts in special circumstances. Please reach out to us if you would like to discuss this option as well.
